Job Description:

Titan Robotics is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join the company’s engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer. Titan Robotics is a leader in industrial Additive Manufacturing solutions, fabricating purpose-built large-format 3D printing systems. Titan has an immediate position for a Mechanical Engineer whose primary role will be to work with Titan’s engineering and fabrication teams to design Titan’s machines, conduct FEA analysis, source components and maintain complete documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

– R&D of new and existing Titan 3D printers and components. Design standard line of printers and custom builds to accommodate customer needs.

– Size servos, rails, and ball screws based on machine speed and load requirements using manufacturer sizing tools, and a variety of engineering calculations.

– Source new mechanical components from online suppliers and working with Titan supply chain vendors to integrate components into Titan electromechanical systems.

– Develop CAD models and engineering drawings of Titan machines and components using proper knowledge of machine tolerances and tooling procedures to ensure proper fit and function.

– Document assembly procedures using exploded views, CAD drawings, and in person design discussions.

– Analyze components and structures using engineering basics along with NASTRAN FEA solvers to find and eliminate vibration modes, maximize structural stability, and minimize stress concentrations.

– Design outsourced CNC parts out of Aluminum and Steel, providing 3D models and detailed CAD drawings to external and internal machinists.

– Rapid prototype, when applicable, new CNC parts to test functionality before manufacturing using FDM and SLA technologies

– Metrology driven quality control on CNC parts to ensure proper integration into Titan machines before parts are released to build team.

– Work with mechanical and electrical assemblers on new and existing projects

– Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

– Follow Appropriate safety procedures and precautions

– Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

– BS Mechanical Engineering

– Basic tool operation and safety knowledge: saws, drilling, tapping, sanding, finishing.

– Manufacturing processes knowledge: 5 Axis CNC Milling and Lathing, Casting, 3 Axis Milling, AM, Welding

– Basic mechanical engineering knowledge: material selection, bolts / hardware selection, statics/dynamics, fluids and heat transfer.

– SolidWorks experience: large assemblies, part configurations, sheet metal, weldments, 3D sketching, version control, weld callouts, ANSI dimensioning.

– NASTRAN FEA solving experience: Static structural stress analysis, Vibration modes and modal analysis, heat transfer and thermal stresses

– NASTRAN FEA Knowledge: optimizing element size and shape, using point loads, face splitting, and model simplification to reduce model complexity, identifying bad elements (Jacobian and Aspect ratio)

– Design for additive knowledge

– Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time

– Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise level

– Ability to travel on short notice if required

Job Description

Titan Robotics, Ltd. is looking for a highly motivated individual to add to the electrical assembly and fabrication team. This position is for a full-time electrical technician who will work with Titan’s electrical department to fabricate Titan’s industrial 3D printers and enclosures, help with material handling and work with the team to keep the shop clean and organized.

As an Electrical Technician and assembler you will plan and assemble electrical control boxes and panels for Titan’s 3D printers and associated equipment, layout and install wiring and motors on Titan’s machines and connect and assemble parts into a more complex component or machine. You will ensure that all parts fit correctly and are for that particular machine. This will be achieved by the use of your hands, machines, tools and precision instruments to complete the job with greater precision. This will be done utilizing all safety precautions and equipment required to complete the task. This position may include, but is not limited to, assembling electrical components and equipment, mechanical assembly of Titan’s 3D printers and associated equipment, adjusting or repairing electrical equipment, documenting processes and quality control checks.

Job Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, instructions or reports.

Inspect wiring installations, assemblies and circuits

Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring and assembly casings.

Build standard and custom control panels for Titan’s 3D printers.

Collaborate with machine builders, engineers and direct supervisors to create the best solution for Titan’s standard machines and custom machines.

Adjust or repair electrical equipment.

Collect and document all parts and equipment required to begin the assembly process.

Take precision measurements to ensure proper fit and alignment of machine components

Check component function (if possible) prior to continuing to next step.

Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety.  Document all steps of the manufacturing process on a daily basis, which includes labor required and parts utilized.

Report issues, defective or damaged parts in writing to management.

Monitor expendable inventory, request to order when low.

Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

Titan Robotics, Ltd. is looking for a highly motivated individual to add to the assembly and fabrication team. This position is for a full-time assistant assembler who will work with Titan’s assembly, welding, and engineering teams to fabricate Titan’s industrial 3D printers and enclosures, help with material handling and work with the team to keep the shop clean and organized.  This is an entry-level position with opportunity for growth in learning about assembly and fabrication of precision machinery and industrial 3D printers.

This position requires great manual dexterity, attention to detail, and basic mechanical knowledge. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, instructions, drawings, measurements and manuals, etc.

Responsibilities

Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.

Operate angle grinders and other cutting equipment, such as band saw to cut and prepare metal for welding.

Prepare materials for fabrication, including organizing various metal supplies and cutting metal to exact lengths as called out in engineering documents, blueprints and drawings.

Collect parts and equipment required to begin the assembly process.

Take precision measurements to ensure proper fit and alignment of machine and enclosure components.

Assist lead assemblers in fabrication and assembly of machines and enclosure components.

Assist lead assemblers in checking component function (if possible) prior to continuing to next step.

Assist lead assemblers in evaluating final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety.

Document manufacturing processes, including time tracking by job and steps of assembly process.

Report issues, defective or damaged parts in writing to the production manager.

Monitor expendable inventory, request to order when low, before the supply is completely depleted.

Keep equipment operational by keeping equipment clean and completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Follow appropriate safety procedures and precautions.

Maintain a clean work environment, including taking out the trash, sweeping the shop floor and organizing tools and materials.

Pick up and secure materials from Titan’s vendors, safely transport materials to and from Titan’s facility to vendors’ facilities.

Drive company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner and maintain a good driving record.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.
